Bear Bulletin
Week of October 10
From the Principal
Here it comes - the cooler weather pattern that definitely makes it feel like fall! Please keep this in mind as kids start to layer clothing for cool mornings and warmer afternoons. This is the time of year when our Lost & Found rack really starts to fill up. You can avoid this by ensuring your child's name is somewhere in all coats and jackets, lunch boxes and water bottles. This makes it much easier for us to return them to their owners.
Thanks to your amazing support with our Boosterthon fundraiser, we not only reached our fundraising goal, we exceeded it! Final numbers will be in soon! THANK YOU so much for your continued support of our students, staff, and school as a whole.
Now it's time to celebrate reaching our goal! We have designated Oct 10th as Monday Funday! Students will enjoy a pajama day and a school-wide read (no slippers, please), extra recess with popsicles, AND - to add to the fun - don’t be surprised if you see the admin team strolling around the school in inflatable costumes as well!
Looking ahead, on Thursday, October 20th, we’ll highlight our love of books and all things reading with a very special day! To kick off the first day of our book fair, students are invited to dress up as a book character. We'll also have guest readers visiting each of our classrooms.
It’s going to be a great couple of of weeks at BES!
