FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR
Attendance Matters!
Research shows that missing school negatively affects a student’s academic performance. Poor attendance can influence whether children read proficiently by the end of third grade. By 6th grade, chronic absence becomes a leading indicator that a student will drop out of high school. When students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances of graduating.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the following students who have made going to school every day a priority! These students have missed less than 4 days of school.
HEALTH ROOM MEDICATION
ALL HEALTH ROOM MEDICATIONS (prescription and non-prescription) will need to be picked up from the health room by Wednesday, June 7 (this is the last day of school for students). Any meds left in the health room after this will be DISCARDED. Meds of any kind may NOT be transferred over from school year to school year by health room staff. New meds with the appropriate paperwork must be brought in at the beginning of the next school year. Both prescription and non-prescription med forms can be found on the Lake Country School website. Please contact the Director of Health Service, Michelle Howard via email at howardm@mylakecountryschool.org with any questions. Thank you!
LOST & FOUND
Lost and Found items must be picked up by June 7 end-of-day or they will be donated. We have a lot of sweatshirts, jackets and lunch boxes, among other things!! Come take a look!

⭐ MDA Muscle Walk
We are current students at Arrowhead looking to ask you all for your help in supporting our fight against muscular dystrophy. As you may know, a teacher at Arrowhead, Mr. Destache, is retiring after this year. As a result, we wanted to do something special to show the impact he had on his students and to carry on his golden rule: “There is always hope.” Throughout his teachings, Mr. Destache would implement “the Always Hope Rule” as a support system to keep students going if they happen to have a bad test or quiz.
That is why we are asking for your support with our cause to help Erica and everyone affected by muscular dystrophy, as “there is always hope”. Please consider making a donation to our fundraiser, Team Horsepower, as every dollar counts.
You can donate online:
From all of us (especially Erica) to you, thank you!
Sincerely,
Allison Lucyshyn, Emma Albrecht, Emery Cummins-Brown, Kate Lucyshyn, Audrey Worgull, Grace Kaczmarek, Ayla Brittnacher, Sammy Gleason, and Francie Corry.
