Community Conversation About Race

Second Annual Beaverton Community-Wide Conversation Around Race March 10, 2021 4:00-6:30

In our ongoing efforts to ensure equitable access, inclusion, and opportunity for our students, families, and staff, the Beaverton School District is engaging in the second of hopefully many Community Conversations Around Race. As a valued member of our community, we cordially invite you to attend and participate! We will be welcoming students, families, staff, and community members from throughout Beaverton and the surrounding region to join us in this virtual Southridge High School event. The afternoon will include the elevation of student and adult voices from our schools and community partners in two breakout sessions focused on specific topics within the broad conversation around race. The event will once again be anchored by a keynote session highlighting student voice.

For the protection of our presenters and participants from potential virtual harassment, we please ask that every participant register, using their names as they will appear on the zoom window. Please select your breakout sessions carefully as admittance into breakout sessions will be based on registration.

Additional information and the registration link can be found at Community Conversations Around Race. Please register before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10. On the day of the event you will receive an email that contains links to view the welcome video, attend breakout sessions, and view the student keynote.
