The Habitat
This ant lives in meadows, cloverfields, and at Forest edges and Deserts.
The Parts
From the images it almost has the shape of a spider, 6 legs, 2 antennas, head, compound eye, Ocelli (simple eyes), thorax, powerful mandibals (jaws), abdomen, a stinger, tibial spur. As big as a pinkie finger.
Life Cycle
The Velvet Ant starts out as a egg tinier than a pebble, then it grows bigger and bigger as it molts, then a coocoon forms around it and becomes a pupa, then forms into an adult ant.
