Parade with Santa

The Holiday Parade through downtown Amherst is such a fun tradition! The Marching Band students have so much fun dressing up, adding lights and decorations to their instruments, and playing cheerful songs.

The more lights and fun outfits the better!

Report time is 5 PM at Steele.

The parade starts at 6 PM at Marion L. Steele High School and will travel down Washington Ave., cross over to Forest, then turn onto Park Ave. to S. Main Street. We hope to see you all there!

Concert Ticket Sales

Heading into concert season, the Boosters are looking for 2-3 volunteers for at-the-door ticket sales. This includes concerts performed by all the grade levels involved in the band program. It is about 45-90 minutes each evening. Most of the concerts start at 7 PM, and you're welcome to enjoy a complimentary entrance to the performance or head out.

50/50 at Ziggy's

On Sun. Dec. 18th the Band Boosters are participating in the 50/50 raffle that's held by the Browns Backers at Ziggy’s in Amherst. A portion of the net proceeds benefits local charities in and around our community. We earn funds by running 50/50 ticket sales during the first half of the game. Winners are drawn during halftime.

We need 2 adult volunteers to sell the tickets. Supplies will be provided and we estimate about 1-1/2 hours per game. They will also announce that profits benefit the Amherst Marching Comets during the game to boost ticket sales.

Booster Meetings

Just a reminder that Booster Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month, excluding December. At 6:30 PM in the Steele Band Room. We encourage any band student's family members to join us. Meetings are a great way to stay informed of upcoming events and help plan the fun extras that we provide for the students. The more the merrier!
