Indian hill stations

India is truly ‘incredible,’ be it the plains, seas or mountains. The Great Himalayas form the backdrop of the Indian hill stations. The fascinating hill stations of India are perfect spots for honeymoons, summer vacations and also for adventurous trekking trips.

The Lake District- Nainital

Nainital is located at the banks of the volcanic lake, Nani at Uttarakhand. Relax and rejuvenate your mind and soul amidst the spotless beauty of this hill station.

The spell bound beauty of the Nani Lake is enhanced by the reflection of the snow cladded mountains on its water. Horse rides, yachting, paddling or boating on the mirror like waters of the Nani Lake are the other activities.

It is also an amazing experience to view the whole world beneath you from the ropeways at Nainital. All the cottages and the lake appear as small dots on the green valleys.

The Queen of Hills- Mussoorie

Also located at Uttarakhand, this fascinating Himalayan hill station is known for its chilled weather. This extremely beautiful hilly region offers you solitude.

Thrilling ropeway rides over the hills of Mussoorie or long walks along the mall road bring you close to nature. This hill station is known for its flora and fauna, where the woods of pine, cedar, oak and rhododendron seem to guard the ‘queen’.

The blessed city- Mount Abu

Mount Abu will amaze you as it is a hill station in the desert state of Rajasthan.

Nestled between the Aravali hills, Mount Abu is a different kind of hill station. This hill station has historical importance due to the presence of the white marble structures of the Dilwara Jain temples and the Gaumukh temple.

The Nakki Lake is another important tourist destination of Mount Abu; it is believed that this Lake was created with the nails of God. Also watch a mesmerizing sunset from the high hills of Mount Abu.

The Blue Mountains- Ooty

Located at Tamil Nadu, Ooty is a delightful hill station, known for its pleasant weather just like that of an English summer.

Encircled by the four majestic hills of the Nilgiri range, it is a popular honeymoon destination.

The beauty of this hill station is enhanced by the green carpet of the tea plantations and by the long line of pine and cedar trees at every road.

The lavender blue flowers of Ooty greet the tourists throughout the year.

The Valley of Shepherds- Pahalgam

Pahalgam is a gem of incredible India, located at Jammu and Kashmir. Besides being the gateway to the Hindu pilgrimage of Amarnath, this hill station is known for its enchanting meadows and tranquil atmosphere. Feeling the beauty of nature through the green grasslands and bright flowery meadows, you will wish to retire from the hectic city life and settle at Pahalgam.

Trout fishing, trekking, pony rides and hiking are some other leisurely activities here.
