Lion Tennis Reaches Milestone of 10 Straight Years as District Champions
Many things have changed in the last 10 years. However, one thing that hasn't is the success of our Lion Tennis Program. With a recent win against Joshua, Lion Tennis capped off another undefeated district title. This title marks 10 straight years as district champions. What makes this feat even more remarkable is that this program has not lost a single district match during this run. That's right, our tennis program has not lost a district match in 10 YEARS! That is an incredible accomplishment and one that is extremely rare in any sport.
Congratulations to Coach Howard, Coach Johnson, Coach Doslich, and all of our Lion Tennis Team!

Lady Lions Softball Receives $5,000 Donation Through Bayer Farm for Good Sweepstakes
The Ennis High School softball team is one of 10 organizations across the nation to receive a $5,000 donation through the Bayer Farm for Good Sweepstakes.
Ennis High School softball was designated for the donation by Steven Beakley, of Ennis. Beakley was one of 10 entrants chosen to direct a donation to the organization of his choice.
Lady Lions softball has 45 students participating in softball. During the softball season, there are approximately 32 players on varsity and junior varsity teams combined. The donation will be used to purchase two good sets of uniforms for the softball teams, new softballs and helmets, and to update other equipment as necessary.
Congratulations to Lady Lions softball!
Ennis Noon Lions Club hosts Lion Eye Van
The Ennis Noon Lions Club recently hosted their Lion Eye Van for the City of Ennis. This mobile unit is fitted with state of the art equipment that is used to perform eye exams on children and adults. EISD students, who failed their school eye exams and needed additional assistance, were referred to the Lion Eye Van. This past week, 50 EISD students were examined in the eye van, fitted with frames of their choice, and their prescriptions were sent off to be fulfilled. In 2-3 weeks, these students will receive their new glasses and, with improved vision, will be better prepared for school and everyday life. We cannot thank the Ennis Noon Lions Club enough for providing this service to our community and our students.
