Paperwork for our grade level field trip to The Perot Museum on Thursday, April 28th came home this week. We are excited about the upcoming trip and know that it will be a fun day for our first graders! In order to help make this a successful trip, we would love to have parents accompany us on this day. By volunteering you will help provide adequate adult supervision for students in our class and help this to be a safe and fun day for our students. If you would like to join us on the field trip please be sure you have completed the background check online at www.prosper-isd.net . This needs to be completed each school year. We also ask that you please make other arrangements for younger siblings. We will be assigning student groups to each parent and we need to be sure that they are focused solely on our first graders to ensure their safety. Thank you so much for understanding!
Below are all of the Field Trip forms that need to be completed and returned.
Karate Belt Math RED BELT
We have been working on the "adding 10” strategy. I am attaching the Red Belt flash cards we are using in class. Encourage them to explain out loud to you using place value “since I know 10 is one group of ten and you add 5 ones it would equal 15."
I hope you enjoy helping your student prepare for this at home. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Please use the attached documents to work on these concepts at home.
Do you want to help with Watch DOGS Dads at Folsom, but only have 30 minutes to spare? Sign up for our morning car duty! 7:15-7:45 am and then head to work. Sign up as many times as you want on any day, just click on the following link:
Please also make sure you have your background check complete. You can fill that out at the following link:
