Senior Yard Signs

Class of 2021 Families, Order your Class of 2021 senior yard signs here! Although the Classmunity website labels this as a fundraiser, we are simply using this platform for easy and efficient online ordering- the items are sold at cost and will be delivered to the high school for pick up.

Your student can pick up signs ordered any day after school.

Senior Night Recognition

Wednesday, June 2nd has been identified as the night FHS will recognize our Senior honor students. Information was emailed this week to students who should RSVP their intent to attend and list two guests (only two guests due to capacity restrictions).

Traditionally we recognize students with a 3.5+ (unweighted) GPA, select scholarships and students of the year for each high school department. Students who received a Senior Night Biography Form should submit that this week. Many students have not yet returned their form - please encourage your student. We want to recognize our excellent seniors

Flowers for Commencement

At our last in person graduation we had a company, The Commencement Group, offer pre sales of flowers for graduates. They are returning for the Class of 2021. You can conveniently pick up your order at their tent in the parking lot near the entrance of American Family Field either before or after the ceremony.

From the Commencement Group:

Use this link to take a look at our selection. All online orders will be available for pickup on site the day of the graduation. To retrieve your order, stop at the booth located conveniently in the parking lot near the entrance to the graduation before the ceremony begins.

2021-2022 FHS Scheduling Update

FHS counselors anticipate that current 8th-11th grade students' lists of scheduled courses for the 2021-2022 school year will be sent via email to families on or before Friday, May 28. Please make sure to check your email for this and review your list carefully. The message will contain links for required summer homework for some AP and honors courses, a list of courses not running, and information about our course change request policy.

Any course change request must be made by submitting the completed pink course change request paper form (available in Student Services) with signatures to Student Services by Friday, June 4 at 3 p.m. Late requests will not be accepted and schedule changes will not be made over summer or when students return in fall.

Note that change requests are not guaranteed due to space availability and course options. Final FHS student schedules with class periods, teachers, rooms, etc. will likely be released on PowerSchool in late August.

May - Mental Health Awareness Month

Why Am I So Hard On Myself?

Theresa rejoins America to discuss the ways in which we are hard on ourselves and how we can try to turn those negative thoughts around. It’s easier for most people to rely on those negative emotions, especially when looking inward, but it is vital to attempt to break the cycle. They both talk about how they are hard on themselves but how they’ve learned forgiveness, acceptance and love.
