A Note From Mrs. Donnell
From the mouth of my 4 year old grandson, “James and the Giant Peach was awesome, GiGi”! I couldn’t have said it any better. Congratulations to Mrs. Maurey, the entire cast, crew and parent volunteers. You represented CCS in the best way!
Next week is a very busy week for CCS. We have a special all school chapel service on Monday featuring the Peyton Sisters in concert. We have a 2 hour delay on Thursday and our Spring Open House along with Stem Night. There is no school on Friday, April 19th in observance of Good Friday.
How exciting it is to see what God is doing through the CCS family. We are so blessed. The last 6 weeks of school will go fast, so keep an eye out for information regarding all of the events and activities!
Blessings,
Mrs. Donnell
Middle and High School Students:
Open house invitation for you!
CCS Families,
Do you have friends and family members who wonder what a PreK-12th grade Christian education looks like? Now you can show them!
Come! and invite your friends to our All-School Open House on Thursday, April 18th from 5:30-7:30pm. This will be an evening where both current and future families can witness Christ-centered academic instruction, see results of athletic excellence and experience worship through the arts.
Are you or your child curious about what the transition looks like from Kindergarten to Elementary... Elementary to Middle School... or Middle School to High School? Come get a taste!
In the coming weeks, we will have open house promotional materials for our families and staff to share at your churches, in social groups, and with your family and friends. We will also be asking for and depending on your participation to showcase what God is doing at Columbus Christian.
Please begin praying for this event and for attending families who are weighing what public, private and home school options could look like for their child. We all know what that is like! There are exciting things happening and together we look forward to giving God the glory for His work in and through the lives of students, families and Columbus Christian School.
Building His Kingdom for eternity,
Kendall Wildey
Superintendent
STEM Night
All-School Chapel on Monday, April 15!
CCS is excited to host The Peyton Sisters during an All-School Chapel on Monday, April 15! Join us at 9:00am to worship the King together!
Chapel is for all students and family of current CCS students. Visitors need to contact the school office to make arrangements to attend.
About the Peyton Sisters:
The Peyton Sisters are a family duo consisting of two sisters, Rachael who is 13 and Riley who is 15. The girls live in southern Illinois. They started singing at the age of 5 and 6 in churches and nursing homes and have branched out to different states and civic centers. They began singing harmony at the age 6 and 7. The girls parents knew instantly that it was a gift from the Lord as they can’t sing a note, and yet Rachael and Riley are able to hear and sing harmony fluently. They are able to do up to hour long concerts. Riley and Rachael say one of their favorite things they love about singing, is when they look out and see people raising their hands, worshiping God.

Better Together
CCS Verse of the Week
It's easy for us to go to God as a last resort. To trust in our best friend, our family or even Google! How would your circumstances look different if you went to God first? If you trusted in His ability to work in and through your situation according to His best plan?
What step can you take today to choose to trust Him first?
