All School Mass November 18th

Dear Parents and Guardians,

1. What a great Give to the Max Day for Highland Catholic School. Donors contributed pledged $9,290 (amazing) and with our matching funds we raised over $18K!! Thanks to all. It is fun to hear from our former students during this campaign. We are so proud of you!

2. The Turkey Trot is celebrating its 4th year as a Thanksgiving Day Tradition. Organizers Martha Paar and Chris Haider and their volunteers have created a great family event. This fundraiser supports the operation of Highland Catholic School and a community partner.

Turkey Trot Help

Dear School Households,

Please consider volunteering for the 4th Annual Turkey Trot 5K and Gobble Wobble event.

Volunteers are needed the morning of the Big Races, reporting at 7:30 a.m. and finishing up about 9:30 a.m.

Volunteers receive a race shirt, free breakfast and Bloody Mary at Tiffany’s and our undying gratitude.

It is a super fun morning and it sounds like the forecast is for above average temp wise.

Proceeds go to support Highland Catholic School and a neighboring program/institution with a kid/family focus.

The volunteers are a super fun group and often our job involves standing at a barricade on the route, cheering and supporting the runners! No training involved.

We have made it a “Schmidt Family” tradition before our day of turkey, football and family games. Hope to see you there.

Please reply to pegschmid@aol.com If you need more information, please let us know.

Because we had to have the original pictures of the children, retaken, we had to reschedule the RETAKE DAY. That day will now be Thursday, November 19th.

Picture Retake Day will now be Thursday, November 19th, and original pictures for Tuesday/Thursday preschoolers. If you ordered pictures on the very origianl day back in September, we do have your child's order and the teacher will give the order form to the chidren on the 19th when they go to have their picture taken. If you did not order at that time and wish to do so now, please contact the office and we can get an order form to you.

Sorrry for all this mumble/jumble. If you need further explanation, please give me a call.

Quiz Bowl Action Ahead!

Our 8th graders, Joey, Olivia, Henry, Jane and alternate, Nick, are gearing up for the annual Quiz Bowl on Dec. 16th. The event is hosted at the University of St. Thomas. We are certain that these whiz kids will bring their best game to the competition! Thanks to faculty member, Ken Backe, for organizing this opportunity.
