Social Distancing

Everyone – employees, students, contractors and visitors – should attempt to maintain at least six feet of space between themselves and others whenever possible. This mitigation measure is known as social distancing and will be supported by modifications in hallway traffic patterns and furniture placement. If the physical space in the school does not allow for spacing students’ desks 6 feet apart, desks will be arranged to leave as much space as possible between desks. All desks will be arranged so students’ seats face the same direction. Hallway traffic patterns for class changes, arrival and dismissal will be modified to maximize physical distancing. Floors will be marked to indicate safe distancing. Students will remain six feet apart or as much as possible in line, in the hallways, in common areas, in classrooms and on school buses

YMCA Early Morning Program

As we get ready for a possible return to In Person learning, we hope to be able to provide the early morning YMCA drop off program again this year. In order to do this, the YMCA will need a specific number of families requesting this program. If you need these services, please select the link and complete ASAP so we can secure a time for In Person learning.

Athletics Corner

Charger Boys Basketball jumped back into action in a big way this past week, defeating both Morton and Winburn for both A and B teams. Additionally, we were able to recognize our 8th graders on Wednesday as they played one of their final home games at Leestown. Congratulations to these guys for persevering through these difficult times and making the best of their 8th grade season! We were able to reschedule the first week of games that were canceled due to weather. The season has been extended by one week to accommodate these two make up games. The February 10th game vs LTMS has been rescheduled to March 8th. The February 11th game has been rescheduled to March 11th. All home games are live streamed on our Leestown Athletics Facebook Page.

Charger Track will be having a zoom meeting on Friday, March 5 at 6:00PM for any parent of a student interested in running track this year.
