Reading Incentive Programs

The following incentives are to be offered building-wide. Thanks to Anne and Melissa for coordinating the efforts!

Kane County Cougars

The Kane County Cougars reading incentive program begins January and runs eight weeks. Each classroom teacher will be receiving bookmarks, a poster to track student progress, and papers to send home. Each classroom teacher will need to make copies of the papers for their class. Each classroom teacher should choose an appropriate goal for their individual class and note that on the paper that will be sent home. Examples of reading goals could be reading a certain number of pages, reading a certain number of books, or reading a certain number of hours - the goal is the teacher's choice. Should classroom teachers have any questions, please contact Anne McDonald. Program Dates: Jan 5-Feb 26; information due to Anne: March 3

Six Flags

Six Flags Reading Program sheets have been placed in your mailboxes and sent home. If your students decide to participate they will need to fill in the sheet and return it to you by Friday, February 13th. Let Melissa Chiappini know if you have any questions.

Off Level Assessments

The off-level assessments are in the ELA or Math files on the Teaching and Learning Together site. Students taking the off level should also take the on-level for district norming purposes. Please see me with questions or concerns.
