We're excited to host a lunch meeting Thursday, 12/1, with representatives from Delgado's Adult Education and Dual Enrollment programs. Parents, please plan to attend if you have interest in learning more about either program. This event is also open to your friends or family members who may benefit from learning more about the opportunities Delgado has to offer.

Delgado Informational Meeting
Join us for an informational meeting about several of the programs available to students and parents through Delgado Community College. We'll have a representative from Delgado's Adult Education and Accelerated Career Education programs as well as a representative from Delgado's Dual Enrollment program. Additional information about each program is included below.
The Accelerated Career Education (ACE) program at Delgado Community College integrates basic skills with career and technical instruction. ACE includes a set of certification and credit classes that are co-taught by an adult basic skills instructor and a career content instructor. Career pathways in Healthcare, Technical Trades, Culinary Arts/Hospitality, and Information Technology are available to all interested individuals ages 18 and up who would benefit from enhanced academic and student support as they enter college. The Dual Enrollment (DE) program at Delgado Community College is designed for students who have the ability to benefit from instruction in either their chosen career path or enrollment in a transferable course at the College in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school. Students enrolled in the Dual Enrollment program will receive high school credit/Carnegie units as well as transcripted credit from Delgado Community College upon successful completion of the course(s). Parents who are interested in learning more about this option for students should plan to join us to learn more about the advantages and benefits of this program.
Adult Education
Delgado offers a free, open-enrollment program that offers a variety of classes designed to help students in New Orleans meet their academic, professional, and personal goals. Some of these goals include:
- studying to earn a high school equivalency diploma (HiSET, formerly the GED)
- improving English language skills in our English Language Learners (ELL) courses
- building digital literacy through Computer Basics, and more!
