Digital Citizen

Someone who is able to think critically about the ethical opportunities and challenges of the “digital world” and makes safe, responsible, respectful choices.

Cyberbullying

  • Harassing - Bombarding someone with messages over digital media, or repeated contact when it is least expected.


  • Flaming - SAYING MEAN THINGS, USUALLY IN ALL CAPS, AND WITH THE INTENTION TO HUMILIATE.


  • Deceiving - Using fake names, posing as someone else, or creating a fake profile about someone else.


  • Hate Speech - A verbal attack targeting someone because of their race, gender, religion, ability, or sexual orientation.


  • Bystander - someone who witnesses bullying but doesn't do anything.


  • Upstander - someone who witnesses bullying and tries to stop it.

  1. Do not post rude/inappropriate images or comments
  2. Do not curse
  3. Do not cause drama

  1. Keep it short: The shorter you keep it the more accurate it will be.
  2. Use quotes: Using quotes tells Google to use those exact words.
  3. Use the minus sign: Using the minus signs tells to not show that word in the results.
  4. Calculator: If you type a calculation into google it will calculate it.
