Career Technical Student Organization Activities
HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)
On January 17th, HOSA (Future Health Occupant Students of America) had Dr. Rebecca Lavene, a local Periodontal specialist, come in and talk to our club about her career and the pathway she took to get to where she is today.
Dr. Lavene reflected on the hard work and dedication it took her to achieve her dreams. She also talked about how she enlisted in the Navy, to help gain a scholarship and pay off student loans. Most importantly Dr. Lavene, reminded us that we can achieve anything we set our mind too, the only person that can stop us from achieving our goals is ourselves.
