Top 10 Cardinal Celebrations
2. Our seniors weren't the only ones to "graduate"! Kindergartners at Henry Elementary graduated on Tuesday and are officially ready for 1st grade.
3. Top 3rd grade spellers at Clinton Intermediate School competed in the school's annual Spelling Bee! Congratulations to the winner, Abigail Anderson.
4. Henry Elementary and CECC staff held a "thank you" event for GVMH, their Bright Futures Building Partner, earlier this week. Staff thanked the hospital for all they have done to support their students throughout the year.
5. Congrats to CHS graduate Jordan Mendenhall, who made it into MSHSAA's all-time record books for strikeouts per 7 innings!
6. Congrats to CHS junior, Austin Gillund who represented Clinton at the State Golf Tournament earlier this week. Out of 92 golfers, Austin tied for 20th place!
7. Best of luck to the 18 CHS Track and Field athletes who will be participating in Sectionals on Saturday......next stop STATE!
8. Thanks to Clinton Middle School for giving the CIS 5th grade students such a warm welcome as they toured and learned about life as a middle school student. Before students even entered the school, they were greeted with welcoming messages in the form of sidewalk art from the CMS Kindness Committee.
9. The CHS/CTS Advanced Marketing Class recently presented their marketing plans for the TLC Smokehouse to the food truck's manager and graphic designer. As a reward for their hard work, TLC Smokehouse provided lunch for the students!
10. Thanks to the CMS National Junior Honor Society who presented the Clinton Police Department with a donation to help equip Clinton Police Officers with new resources.

Dr. Joana King, Assistant Superintendent
It is with mixed emotions that I write what will be my last internal newsletter article to the Clinton family. My decision to leave was not one I came to easily, and I want you to know how much I appreciate the support and partnership I have received from you. We have done wonderful work together this school year, and I am honored that we are finishing strong.
The Clinton Cardinals will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the immense privilege it has been to serve as your Assistant Superintendent this past year and work alongside you in the pursuit of quality education for the children of the community. If I could leave you with one thought: the power of a school district rests in its teachers. We must invest time, money and resources in them. Teachers are on the front line each and everyday. I wish you all the best in the coming years.
