Principal’s Message
Hispanic Heritage Month begins next week on September 15 and continues through October 15. Red Oak will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in many ways. Our aim is to help students understand the importance of the Hispanic culture, learn about the many contributions of Hispanic people, and build awareness that the Hispanic culture involves many different Spanish-speaking countries. We will conduct read alouds, decorate classroom doors, discover different types of Hispanic music and art, and learn about the different Hispanic cultures that are represented at our school. We will be asking families to send in artifacts that represent their Hispanic heritage. We will have a family night to culminate the month on Friday, October 15 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. More information will be coming soon!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Bellini
