The Kidder Chronicle
NEWSLETTER FOR FAMILIES - WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 27TH
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello Kidder Families!
Click HERE for our newsletter audio/video summary and then read on for full details!
Recess
With the weather changing, we want to remind families that students should come to school prepared for outdoor recess. We do not have staff available to watch students both inside and outside so students always need to be ready to go outside. We go out as long as it is not raining and 20 degrees or above, including wind chill. Please be sure your child has a coat, boats, etc.
Trunk or Treat
We are really excited about our first ever Kidder PTG Trunk Or Treat event! It is going to be a lot of fun. Be sure to scroll down for the flyer and more information about getting your admission tickets, volunteering and/or hosting a Trunk.
Dairy Queen Night
Mark your calendars for PTG's Dairy Queen Night on Oct. 13th from 4-8 PM. Celebrity Staff Blizzard Makers will be creating your favorite ice cream treats!
Grade Level Directories
Don't forget - if you want your email included in the Grade Level Directories and if you want to receive a list of the directory, you must complete this FORM no later than Sept. 30th. This is the only time during the year that directories will be created/shared. Only those who complete the form will receive a copy of the directory.
Important Reminders
When a non-employee is entering any of our schools, the district is requiring they wear masks. Please be sure to bring a mask with you if you need to come inside Kidder. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
Bus riding students MUST wear a mask to ride the bus. This is required by law as school buses are considered public transportation. Public transportation currently requires riders wear masks. Please be sure your child is wearing a mask BEFORE they board the bus.
From the District

PTG'S TRUNK OR TREAT HALLOWEEN EVENT!
Kidder PTG is hosting a Trunk or Treat night
on Saturday, October 23rd!
This year the PTG will be hosting our first ever Trunk or Treat event. This event is going to be SO much fun. Becka Maust, mother of 2 at Kidder, is graciously running and organizing this event.
Fliers will be sent home this week, so please look for them in your kids backpacks (also attached in this newsletter). Click this LINK or the flyer to get a copy to print at home, if needed.
Please note, the admission cost is for students only - $2 per student or $5 max per family (if you have more than 2 kids, your total student admission cost will be $5).
This is where we need your help.
As our fellow friends, teachers and staff, please help by spreading the word and creating a buzz about coming to this fun new event. Chatting with your neighbors, talking with other parents at the bus stops, or even with your Facebook/Instagram friends. Simply spreading the word is a HUGE part of volunteering and supporting Kidder Elementary.
We are needing volunteers, cars/trunks to be added to the Trunk or Treat walk through, extra Halloween decor to be placed around and raffle baskets. If you feel led to create and donate a basket/prize package to be raffled off please reach out directly to Danielle Fox, PTG President via email - KidderPTG@gmail.com
If you know or run a business that wants to donate or if you just want to chip in a few dollars to help make the baskets, that would be great too.
Here are the volunteer stations we need help with:
(2 volunteers) Work the basket raffle from 5:00pm-6:30
(2 volunteers) Work the basket raffle and announce winners from 6:30-8:00pm
(2 Volunteers) Front entrance sign in 5:00-6:30pm
(2 Volunteers) Front entrance sign in 6:30-7:30pm
If you have any questions, thoughts, comments, please email us at KidderPTG@gmail.com
Warm Regards,
Danielle Fox & Becka Maust
