Learning Model Updates
Please know that information about the hybrid learning model for LWJES will come directly from LWJES, either through the weekly newsletter, ParentLink, or Class Dojo.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we develop and modify plans.
Hybrid Learning Model MUST KNOW INFORMATION
There are many new procedures that are in place that are different from how school has operated in the past. In addition, we may adjust procedures based on the progress of the implementation process.
It is imperative that all families with students learning in-person carefully follow all aspects of our school's hybrid plan.
Working together, we will achieve our goal of educating students in a safe environment!
All information is subject to ongoing change. Please check back often to review updated information!

Step 1: Review Hybrid Learning Schedules (K-5)
As we transition to the hybrid learning model on Monday, March 1, 2021, all students will be following updated schedules. Teachers will direct students when to join sessions and when to work independently.
Be sure to only send your child to school on their assigned days for in-person learning. Students will not be allowed on campus on days they are not assigned to in-person learning.

Step 2: Prepare for In-Person Learning
Everyone (students and adults) must wear a mask/facial covering when on campus, both indoors and outdoors.

Review hand hygiene, social distancing, and respiratory etiquette with your child.

Your class needs supplies!

Your child needs to bring certain items to school each day they come to school for in-person learning.
Step 3: Check Your Child's Health
Any students determined to be exhibiting symptoms related to COVID-19 will be sent home immediately from school from the satellite health office. Should isolation and/or quarantine protocols need to be enacted, communication will be provided from the school.
Click here to view information about checking for illness before leaving home.
Step 4: Arrive To School
Students attending class with Ms. Reinhart, Ms. Reisner, and Ms. Walsh will drop off students at the small Pre-K playground.
Families are not allowed to enter the campus through any gates or doors.
Step 5: Depart From School
- Reisner/Reinhart/Walsh - Pre-K Playground Gate
- Kindergarten - Volleyball Courts
- Grade 1 - Volleyball Courts
- Grade 2 - Portables
- Grade 3 - Basketball Courts
The ONLY gate available for K-3 pick-up is the Mardon playground gate (double gate). The gate will open AFTER all classes are stationed for pick up. Please, only ONE parent/guardian is requested to come on campus to pick up students. Please proceed through the 4-square courts to the class location. Wait for the teacher to release your child, and then depart back through the 4-square courts.
Food Service Information
Breakfast will be available to students each morning they are learning at LWJES in-person. Students will pick up a meal and take it to the classroom to dine.
Lunch will be available to students each day they are learning at LWJES in-person. Students may also bring a lunch from home. On days with favorable weather conditions, students will dine outdoors. All students learning in-person are to bring a beach towel or small blanket they can set down on the ground to use as their picnic blanket for lunch. On days in inclement weather, students will dine at their desks in their classrooms. Masks may be removed only when students are consuming food and beverage and must be replaced when not consuming food or beverage.
If a student in the class has a food allergy, please be advised that individual classrooms may have restrictions on food brought from home.
