Weekly Bulletin - October 30th, 2020
OLMP Royals Weekly Update
It was a Halloween filled week at OLMP with all kinds of activities each day! We had guess the candy in a jar with over 278 student guesses, a scavenger Haunt, door decorating and our Annual Costume Parade. See photos below of some of the fun! If you would like a photo of your child if they participated in the parade please email your homeroom / teacher advisor to assist you in getting those.
Also during our end of the week virtual assembly we were able to honor some outstanding students through Student of the Month. See our nominees and winners below. We also kicked off our Indigenous school project where staff and students work to appreicate the Indigenous culture and collaboratively work together to understand the Sacred Teachings and how they relate to our Catholic Gifts of the Holy Spirit. We also work towards greater understanding of the treaties. This month Mrs. Delong's 8A and Mrs. Clarkson's HS TA groups explored Treaty 6 with the school while Mrs. Palsitt Lefler's 6C class and Ms. DeKock's HS TA helped us understand the teachings of Love (Eagle) & Understanding. See some of the information they covered below along with a Kahoot quiz put together.
Thank you to our parent volunteers this week, especially Janelle Evenson, Linette Enzenauer, Megan Kumar, and Heather Callicott who helped distribute 362 crates of apples and raised over $3000 for outdoor activities at OLMP! It's great seeing staff, students and parents working together to do great things for our school.
