Parent Nomination Forms For TAG Testing

Each year students are considered for Talented and Gifted students in the Beaverton School District. These services are provided by your child's classroom teacher(s). If you think your child might qualify, you may wish to complete the Parent Information Form below. Completing this form gives your child's school TAG committee more information about your child. Classroom teachers also collect observational data from students each fall and make recommendations for testing.

Volunteers Needed for Cafeteria

Currently we are unable to have volunteers in the classroom, but we can have volunteers in district approved roles. One of those places is the cafeteria.

We are now looking for volunteers to help in the cafeteria each day between 10:45 - 12:00. You would be helping the younger grades select what they want for lunch, and keeping the line moving. If you are able to commit to one day a week please contact Sue at

Walk + Roll To School Day

Thank you to all of our families who participated with us yesterday in the International Walk + Roll To School Day. We had 6 students who won SWAG bags in our raffle. The bags had various items like a Bike Light, Masks, stickers)

We also had a Grand Prize of a scooter and helmet. It was won by Miku Miyoshi. Ms. Rosenquist would like to give out a special recognition to Mr. Kelley's class. When their classmate's name was announced for the Grand Prize, every student stood up and clapped and cheered for her. These are the kind of moments that make Bethany such a special place.

Lunch Time At Bethany

For COVID Safety reasons, we have students eating outside

Wet / Windy Conditions: We will continue to eat outside, undercover. We are able to have each class separated, and keep social distancing for eating.

Please make sure to send a coat with your child on cold days.

Volunteering at Bethany

Volunteers are a very important part of Bethany. The DIstrict is looking at limited volunteer opportunities in the building, we will keep you updated as we receive more information.

All volunteers need to have a background check completed by the District, in order to work around our students. This includes classroom volunteers, going on field trips, classroom pary planners, Jog-A-Thon help etc.

We would encourage you to click on the link below and do your volunteer background check now. If you wait until the District begins to allow volunteers into the building, there might be a wait of a few weeks before you are able to help.

IMPORTANT: On August 19, Governor Kate Brown announced that all volunteers must provide proof of vaccination or complete a medical or religious exemption to volunteer in any K-12 school.

  • New Volunteers: You'll be asked to upload your vaccination card or an exemption form.

  • Current Volunteers: log onto your account. Go to the "My Profile" tab on the upper right, click on "Additional Information" and then select "Beaverton School District." Scroll to the bottom of the screen to find the COVID Vaccination section. From here, you can upload your vaccination card. If you need an exemption form, click on the "i" icon and download the form. After it's completed, it can be uploaded in this same area.

Bus Students

Bethany has a small area of students who are eligible to ride the school bus. If your child does not have an assigned stop they are not able to ride the bus.

Due to COVID, friends are not able to ride home with friends before / after school. If you want your child to go to a friend's house and they ride the bus, you will need to take them.

School Meals Menu

This year all students can eat breakfast and lunch for free! For more information about the Meal Service, please click here: 2021-2022 Meal Service

We offer a vegetarian option at every meal. Please click on the Menus below to find out what entree is vegetarian. You can discuss with your child which item to choose.

For those who bring lunch from home, milk can be purchased separately for 50 cents. You will need to have money in their account or bring money.

School Birthday Policy

For a variety of reasons, including health, safety (COVID and allergies), disruption to instructional time, and hurt feelings, we will NOT be celebrating individual student birthdays at school. Teachers acknowledge students with birthdays in a variety of ways (class singing, a sticker, birthday pencil, special jobs, etc). We want every child to feel special on their birthday without having a potential negative impact on the rest of the class.

Kindergarten Fundraiser

The Bethany Kindergarten teachers want to create classrooms with spaces where students can take risks and make messes. We would like to create a “yes” environment, where students can learn that mistakes are an opportunity to try again. These spaces will be student centered, where the teacher becomes the facilitator, provides guidance and partners with children in their learning through play.

We encourage you to send this campaign out to your family and friends. The BEF New Project Match will match your contribution to this project dollar-for-dollar, up to $500.

Friendly Reminder About Pets

It is beautiful weather and a great way to take your dog out for a walk. Please remember that we do have small children who are afraid of dogs, or are allergic. If you want to walk your dog, we encourage you to meet your students at the crosswalk or off of campus.
