Memorial Day Assembly -
Next Friday we will be having a school-wide assembly to honor and learn about Memorial Day. There will be some musical tributes and educational pieces. We will learn about the different meanings of the holidays that celebrate our nation, an informative explanation of the song Taps, and a little history of the holiday. It is a great opportunity to bring the whole school together to recognize a tribute that entrenches so may of our school values.
5th grade will have 1 hour long lessons on puberty and hygiene on June 3rd. These lessons will be given jointly by our School Counselors and PE/Health Staff. The lessons will be a portion of the health curriculum "The Puberty Workshop" which was developed by experienced health educators and physicians to educate students about the emotional and physical changes of puberty. For more information please contact Mr. Guellnitz at the email at the bottom.
6th Grade BBQ -
6th Graders are invited to the 6th Grade BBQ (for 6th grade students only) on Wed. June 12th, 2-4pm, in the Mill Pond Cafeteria. There will be food, a DJ, and photo booth. Attached is a permission slip and more information. Permission slips will also be distributed in the 6th grade classes. Any questions, please contact Jen Niece at jennifer.niece@verizon.net
