It's All Good at Parkwood
November 2022
Family Engagement
Our goal is to provide workshops, resources, and events that are helpful and beneficial to our families. We will continue to provide you with opportunities to stay informed and engaged.
November is Family Engagement Month
What is family engagement and why is it important?
Family engagement is a practice in which families* and school personnel collaborate to support and improve the learning and development of children.
October 4 - November 4: Feed The City, Thanksgiving Food Drive
Feed the City has fed over 100,000 people since 1987 from over 32 different counties within the Middle Georgia area.
Feed the City is an event each year to make sure no family in middle Georgia is without food on Thanksgiving. It takes the CITY TO FEED THE CITY! Families from 27 surrounding cities came in 2013 to get food to prepare for their family and friends. We fed 2,000 families! With your help we can provide resources to reach many more families.
STILL TIME to DONATE BOXES OF STUFFING
Parkwood will be collecting Boxes of Stuffing to support Feed the City and our community.
We have 321 Boxes donated.
3rd Grade Ms. Walker's class has the highest number of boxes donated so far.
Thank you families for your generosity during the "Feed the City" Food Drive.
