We are down to our last 3 days of the school year and there are a few activities planned and events planned for our students:

1. 8th Grade promotion is Wednesday 5/24/23 at 9am at Genesee Theatre.
2. PBIS dance on Tuesday 5/23/23 during period 8 and 9.

Familias TIGRES de Juarez

Estamos en nuestros últimos 3 días del año escolar y hay algunas actividades planeadas y eventos planeados para nuestros estudiantes:

1. La promoción de octavo grado es el miércoles 5/24/23 a las 9 am en Genesee Theatre.
2. Baile de PBIS el martes 5/23/23 durante el período 8 y 9.

It has been a very busy few weeks for the band and orchestra. On April 27 they performed for the elementary students at Glenwood, Clearview, and Hyde Park. April 25 and May 2nd were the concert dates at Juarez, and May 9th they performed at the Genesee Theatre with the other middle schools as part of the Waukegan Middle School Music Festival. The Mariachi group performed at Abbott MS on May 5 (Cinco De Mayo) and on May 10th for the Waukegan Middle School Music Festival. On May 13 they competed for judges as part of the Music In the Parks at Vernon Hills High School and then went to Great America. The band received a Superior rating and was 2nd out of 5 bands, and the Orchestra received an Excellent rating and was 1st!

Thank you for an AMAZING job and for representing Juarez and Waukegan so well!

Han sido unas semanas muy ocupadas para la banda y la orquesta. El 27 de abril actuaron para los estudiantes de primaria en Glenwood, Clearview y Hyde Park. El 25 de abril y el 2 de mayo fueron las fechas del concierto en Juarez, y el 9 de mayo se presentaron en el Teatro Genesee con las otras escuelas intermedias como parte del Festival de Música de la Escuela Intermedia de Waukegan. El grupo de Mariachi se presentó en Abbott MS el 5 de mayo (Cinco de Mayo) y el 10 de mayo para el Festival de Música de la Escuela Secundaria de Waukegan. El 13 de mayo compitieron por jueces como parte de Music In the Parks en Vernon Hills High School y luego fueron a Great America.
