Children's Choir reminder from Karen
I hope that everyone had a good time with the Talent Show last week! Just a reminder that the Joyful Noise choir is scheduled to be in worship this Sunday, October 15 at the 8:30am service. They will be singing the Call to Worship, so they will be done early in the service. Let’s have them meet at 8am on Sunday morning to rehearse the song with the Chancel Choir (I will have the kids sing by themselves for a verse or two and then have the Chancel Choir join). They’ll start in the choir loft and get to experience singing the opening hymn with the Chancel Choir. Then they can come out to sit with you during the Passing of the Peace.

The Road to Emmaus Luke 24:13-35
“Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him.
And at that moment he disappeared” (Luke 24:31).
After Jesus comes back to life, he appears to two men walking along the road. He talks to them about the prophecies about himself, but they don’t realize they’re with Jesus. Finally, as he breaks bread, they recognize him. Jesus shows us who he is, just like he did for them.
Through the Week
- Choose a place where you can record Jesus sightings this week. (Jesus sightings are ways you see Jesus’ work in your life.)
- You might put sticky notes on the fridge or draw on the windows with dry erase mirrors. Or maybe you’ve got a big calendar you can mark up.
- Encourage everyone to find one Jesus sighting a day and write or draw about it in your Jesus sightings spot.
- At the end of the week, look at all of your Jesus sightings and share what you learned about who Jesus is by looking for him in your lives.
Talk About This…Where do you see Jesus in your life?
