Principal's Message
Thank you for making our first couple days a success. I appreciate your understanding as we change many of our procedures from last year.
Perhaps the biggest change that threw parents off was our drop-off and pick-up procedures. I sincerely apologize that our new plan caused some confusion this week. I anticipate that within the handful of days, we will settle into the new routines. I have included details about these drop-off and pick-up procedures below.
As we look to next week, remember Wednesdays are early release days. Each Wednesday students are dismissed at 1:00 pm.
Thank You for your Continued Support,
Kim Little
Parent Drop-off and Pick- Up Procedures.
A.M. Drop- Off - After 8:00 AM, students may be dropped off along the yellow curb near the playground and Head Start Preschool Building. No longer do you need to wait for a staff member to greet your student at your vehicle. Please have your student get out via the passenger side of your vehicle. You may also park in the lot and walk your child to the front of the school using the parking lot crosswalk. Please do not stop your vehicle in the bus unloading zone until all four busses have exited the lot in route to the middle school. School Starts at 8:15 am.
PM Pick -Up - School is dismissed at 2:30 pm. Each Wednesday is an early release day and dismissal is at 1:00 pm. We are directing parents who are picking up students to park their vehicle and come on campus for pick-up. If you have a TK or Kindergarten student, you will go to room 2 at the front of the school to get your student. For students in grades 1-4, we will unlock the playground and overflow parking gates at the end of the day for parents to come in and meet their student. If your child is in 1st or 2nd grade, please wait at the top of the stairs on the playground nearest the front parking lot. If your child is in grades 3 or 4, please wait near the top of the stairs at the large play structure. Students will be walked out to these individual areas where they will be united with the person picking them up. There will be staff members at the foot of the stairs to help you connect with your child. While there will be several teachers facilitating this process, please be understanding that it takes some time to ensure kids are matched with the right adult. Thank you for your patience
Whenever you are driving in our school parking lot, be aware of people and moving cars. It is important that you always drive slowly in our parking lot.
Again, thank you for your patience as we all adjust to this new routines.
Mask Requirement
A reminder that all students, staff and visitors will need to wear a mask indoors. In addition, students must wear a mask while riding on the school bus. We request that students bring their own face coverings from home. In the event that they lose or forget their mask, we will provide one for them to wear in the classroom.
