What's going on at FMES this week?
Mrs. Young, Mr. Griffin and Mrs. Myers will be at a district level training Monday-Wednesday of this week. If there is an issue that needs immediate administrative attention, the following people have been designated as the "go-to". Please contact the office and they will get in touch with the contact for the day. A HUGE thank you to both Michelle and April (both whom hold administration degrees) for taking a day out of their busy schedules to help FMES during the administrative absence.

Important Info for the Week...
- Welcome (back) to Amanda Randel who will fill in for next 3-4 months while Liz Hart is on maternity leave. Amanda served as counselor at FMES for many years and is very familiar with our school. Please be sure to contact her for all of your guidance needs/concerns.
- This Wednesday, book clubs will meet to determine the lead facilitator as well as divide the chapters/assignments out for the remainder of the year. As a reminder, book groups must meet a minimum of 4 times during the year and have monthly correspondence via Google Classroom. For those that are unfamiliar with Google Classroom, a short training will be offered within the next few weeks. Locations for meetings are TBD.
- Please try to schedule your field trips for the year as soon as possible. Transportation is heavily understaffed, therefore, the sooner they are aware of the trip, the better.
- School spirit day is Friday! Let's wear our yellow FMES Boosterthon T-shirts as a faculty!
- Mark your calendars...There will be faculty meetings on October 7th and 14th. The focus will be the AdvancED evaluation.

This Week's Most Valuable Player...
Mr. Phillip!!!
This week there was an unusually high amount of bodily fluids, etc. that required clean-up, especially in one teacher's room. Mr. Phillip took care of the issues quickly and without a complaint. In addition, there have been some instances where the night crew did not mop, etc. Mr. Phillip stepped in and did the job for them, even though it was not his to do. Thank you Phillip for taking such great care of TEAMFMES!
