March 2023

Dear Families,

March is already here! We are excited about all the events coming up this month. Our teachers have worked really hard in organizing trips, concerts, and other activities to enhance our students' learning experience. Ms. Wanda has done an extraordinary job putting together this year’s grade level concerts. Last week, 1st grade students did a beautiful job singing Cielito Lindo among other songs. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Sincerely,

Ms. Anabel

The Book Fair was a huge success and helped us put literally hundreds of books into students' hands, classrooms, and the library! Thank you for all the support.!

We also raised almost $200 toward the renovation of the Library fish tank which is now up and running! We are still hoping to raise about $200 more for some additional equipment, plants, and fish.

We are getting closer to the Battle of the Books for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. We will take the qualifying quiz Wed., April 5th (after Spring Break) to determine the 5 Pioneer.

ATTENDANCE COMMITTEE

Regular attendance matters! Research shows regular attendance at school has a DRAMATIC impact on student progress. Did you know that after 10 absences we are required to mark all absences unexcused without a doctor’s note? Please see the How Sick Is Too Sick guidelines as well as the BVSD attendance policy. We understand sometimes our students need to be out for an extended period of time. We ask, if you know your child will be out, to please contact the attendance line at 7205617806.
