Principal's Message

AJHS Family,

We had a wonderful first few days of school at AJHS! I want to thank our staff and students for settling into a new school year so well.

It was great seeing so many students in action this past Friday at Meet the Black Bears. I encourage you to come out and support our students as many activities begin this upcoming week.

After school Car Line reminder:

9th grade picks up in the S parking lot (corner of Betty and Danville)

8th grade has two options: main drive from Danville Rd or the side parking lot off of Westmeade.

Meet the Black Bears!

We had a wonderful time seeing our students in action this past Friday at Meet the Black Bears. Football, Volleyball, Cheer and Cross Country all begin their seasons over the next couple of weeks. Please come out and support these student-athletes!

Please see the Austin Athletic Calendar below for a full schedule of events!

Dress Up Themes

We love supporting Black Bear Nation throughout the year! One of the many ways we show our Black Bear Pride is through dress up themes on Fridays throughout football season. We would love to see our students join in on the fun!

Spread the Word

We will attempt to get information out to our students and families in many different ways. Although SchoolCast is great tool to get information out quickly, many of our stakeholders "see and forget" these messages. Please help spread the word to follow AJHS on Facebook and Instagram. I also think that many people would rather see or watch than read. FB allows us to post short video message, tutorials and announcements. Thanks!
