Loveland's Expectations
Be Safe
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Dear Loveland Families,
Dear Loveland Families,
I cannot believe it's September. Students and staff have been busy building relationships, establishing expectations, and learning new content. From the first day of school, teachers and students have been working extremely hard. I cannot thank students, parents, and staff enough for everyone’s hard work. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the nice weather.
Ms. Hornung

Changing Weather
Please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing in the morning. Sweatshirts, fleeces, and lightweight jackets are easy to keep in a backpack in case of cooler temperatures at recess time.
National Walk to School Day (October 6th)
Inside Emergency Drill
At Loveland we routinely conduct a variety of safety drills, including fire, tornado and inside emergency drills. Today we held our first inside emergency drill. When the drill is announced, classrooms are locked until an all clear message is given. Please know our schools are among the safest places for our young people to be. We continually review our school security procedures and make any changes necessary to keep students safe. If you have questions, please call 402-390-6455.
Safe Driving Tips:
Please keep in mind the following safety tips when driving in a school zone.
- PUT AWAY YOUR CELL PHONE
- NO TALKING OR TEXTING WHILE DRIVING
- SLOW DOWN
- NO SPEEDING
- OBEY SCHOOL ZONE SPEED LIMIT SIGNS
- BE ALERT FOR CHILDREN CROSSING THE STREET
- DROP-OFF / PICK-UP CHILDREN IN THE SCHOOL’S DESIGNATED AREAS
Remembering and following these tips will help prevent an accident and ensure both drivers and children are safe.

WHS Football Games
While we welcome all students at our Westside High football games, we want to ensure families and students know the rules, to ensure the safety of all involved.
All elementary students attending the game will need to attend the game with a parent and sit with a parent.
No footballs or other balls are allowed in the stadium.
Students who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave. Thank you for your help to make sure our game atmosphere is positive for all who attend!
Box Tops for Education
Please help us save Box Tops for Education. Every year Loveland participates in this worthwhile program, raising approximately $1,500 in FREE money for our school. Please clip and save box tops. Make sure your child’s name and teacher’s name is on the monthly collection sheet (found in Loveland Leader each month), or in a baggie, and return to the office.
