IMPORTANCE OF DAILY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
Encouraging regular school attendance is a powerful ways you can prepare your child for success-both in school and in life. When you make school attendance a priority, you help your child learn the importance of responsibility & develop healthy life habits. Students who attend school regularly will be more academically successful!
Keep up the good work getting to school on time everyday!
STUDENT COUNCIL HOLIDAY DRIVE- ONE MORE WEEK TO DONATE!
Student Council is looking for your help!
We are asking for donations, including:
MONETARY DONATION (Checks made payable to Marshfield Community Christmas), NEW UNWRAPPED TOYS, or GIFT CARDS FOR TEENS
DONATIONS WILL BE COLLECTED IN HOMEROOM AND CLUSTER AREAS. THERE ARE BOXES IN EACH CLUSTER AREA FOR GIFTS AND THERE WILL BE DONATION CANISTERS IN EACH HOMEROOM FOR MONETARY DONATIONS.

Monday 12/17 Pajama Day ( Wear your favorite holiday themed PJ's or robe)
Tuesday 12/18 Grade Level Color Day ( 6th/Green, 7th/Red, 8th/White)
Wednesday 12/19 Festive Day ( Dress as a tree or gift-lights/ornaments/gift wrap/bows)
Thursday 12/20 Flannel & Fuzzy Sock Day ( wear your favorite flannel & fuzzy socks)
Friday 12/21 Festive/Ugly Sweater Day (wear your most festive holiday sweater,vest or t-shirt)
MARSHFIELD BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB ARE GREAT PARTNERS
Annual Community Christmas Telethon TONIGHT
Tune in tonight to see the wonderful student performances and a visit from Santa Claus!
The event runs from 7-10pm.
The telethon will broadcast live on cable and will have plenty of room for a live audience! All are invited to attend and make a donation to a worthy cause and have their picture taken with Santa.
WINTER ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS KICKS OFF ON 12/10
For those who enrolled in our Winter After School Enrichment Program, we are excited to get started next week!
WHEN: Classes begin on December 10 and run for 6 weeks
TIME :2:25pm-3:25pm
Students may take the late bus or be picked up at Door 6.

VFW DONATIONS
Just a reminder that Mrs. Bursaw who is the President of the Daniel Webster VFW Auxiliary is collecting items to help the homeless women veterans relocate from shelters to apartments and get back into the workforce.
Please drop your items such as shampoos, gloves, mittens, hats, blankets, towels, etc., in the front lobby of the building and also upstairs in the Star Fish cluster.
FROM THE LIBRARY
This December:
- Read any print or audiobook from the FBMS Library (or its Overdrive eBook catalog)
- Write a letter to Santa or the Grinch from your book's characters (approximately one typewritten Dble-spaced page)
- Earn a lottery ticket to the STONE ZOO Zoolights Event for a family/friends (up to 5) including a S'mores kit for toasting marshmallows at the park!
FBMS CLINIC NEWS
Cold and Flu season is here. Illnesses that present with fevers, respiratory symptoms, and GI symptoms can spread easily in school. Please help us keep FBMS healthy this winter by adhering to the 24-hour symptoms free policy and allowing time for your children to recuperate following illnesses before sending them back to school. Encourage hand washing and proper cough/sneeze techniques. As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call the FBMS Clinic at 781-319-3965.
HOMEWORK HELPERS
The new trimester has begun. Start off strong by going the extra mile for help! Thanks to our FBMS PTO, this is offered at NO CHARGE!
Stay for this super support so you can succeed in superb scholastic standing.
Homework helpers meet in Rm 225, after school on Wednesdays. Late buses are available!

- Are you interested in getting your writing or artwork published in a magazine? Well, now is your chance! There are so many things you could do for the FBMS literary magazine, FBMS Originals.
- Write a story or poem-Draw a masterpiece-Work on the staff.
