TECH TIP OF THE WEEK
Have you created a document that you want someone to make a copy of? Guess what...you can force them to make a copy....Here’s an easy way to help users make a copy of Google Docs, Sheets, Slides or Drawings!
Ever share something and instruct your students to go to file>make a copy, and instead they all start typing on the document like it’s their own?
Here’s how it works! Grab the link of the doc, sheet, slide or drawing–the one you see when you are editing. (Hint: this link has the word “edit” at the end.) Then simply replace the word EDIT with the word COPY! The user will then be prompted to make a copy of the file. Once they click the “Make a Copy,” button, it will make a copy of the file and add it to their Google Drive. AWESOME!
Words of Wisdom
I always prefer to believe the best of everybody, it saves so much trouble.
~ Rudyard Kipling
With something to think about . . .How different would the world be if everyone went around assuming the best in others? What if instead of anticipating disappointment or hurt, we expected the best of people and told them exactly that. Sometimes simply hearing a few words of appreciation and encouragement is precisely what's needed for others to perform their best. Sometimes we just need an extra push of praise. Today, save yourself a bunch of trouble. Don't believe the worst. Believe the best of everybody. We are never too old or too young to appreciate a few words of approval and kindness. When we believe the best in others, it's good for everybody.
Happy Birthday!
