From the Principal...

Dear Westbrook Families,

Planning for the next school year begins early. If you would like to request that certain information be considered in assigning a classroom placement, please complete this optional form. The most helpful comments speak to specific insights you have about your child as a learner. We have a wonderful staff, and so we hope that you will trust our expertise and input from your child’s current teacher to determine the best placement for your child for the upcoming school year. Please consider the following guidelines regarding the placement request process:

- Please do not request a specific teacher.

- If you have more than one child, please complete a separate form for each.

- All information is kept confidential and only read by Mrs. Crandall and Mr. Anderson

- All requests must be submitted by Friday, April 14.

On Friday, March 10th, we will have half-day attendance for students throughout the District. Only first-grade students will attend from 9:20 AM to 12:20 PM at Westbrook. Please note the different dismissal times for our bussers and walkers. First-grade students will not need to bring lunch on half days. Our Kids’ Corner program will only be available to first-grade students from 7:00 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. Please inform your private daycare providers of this variance in the schedule. Circle of Friends and Kindergarten students will NOT attend school on Friday, March 10th.

IMPORTANT SAFETY UPDATE

Please be aware that cars traveling westbound on Central Road should not turn left to enter the school property. There is a "no left turn" sign and a median to discourage left turns.

The police department shared with us that they will be monitoring this entrance for vehicles violating the no left turn.

Recognize a Staff Member

Westbrook teachers and staff work hard to support students and staff daily. We invite you to complete the google form if you would like to recognize a staff member or team for their hard work and dedication. We will pass on the good news to them. Thank you in advance for sending an encouraging word, as we know it will mean so much to them.

Please keep your child home if they have a fever, have vomited, and/or have diarrhea.Your child may return to school once they have been fever free (without medication), vomit free, and/or diarrhea free for 24 hours. Please reach out to your pediatrician if your child is sick and you have any concerns.
