Day 2

Aimsweb Assessments will be taking place during Directed Studies. Blocks 1, 2 and 4 will be held in the Cafeteria and B3 will take place in the Auditorium. Students will report to their Directed Study for attendance and then to the testing site with their school issued Chromebook, if they have one. One will be provided if a student does not have one.

Marion Recreation is seeking to hire certified lifeguards for Silvershell Beach this summer. Applicants must be red-cross certified and at least 16 years old. If interested see Mr. Lambert or Mr. Tavares.

Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) - start earning hours for your award for next year! The hours are accumulated from April 1, 2021- March 31, 2022.

Go to our Community Service Learning Club google classroom (code: rinmj6v) to download a form to record your hours, or record directly on the google document.

To earn an award, you need certifiable volunteer hours based on your age: for ages 14 -15: GOLD: 100+ and SILVER: 75-99 and BRONZE: 50-74

for ages 16-18: GOLD: 250+, and SILVER: 175-249 and BRONZE: 100 - 174. See Ms Moniz or Ms Browning with any questions.

Mr. Kidney, a teacher at ORR, has recently been deployed and is currently overseas. The community service learning club wanted to do something nice for him while he is overseas to let him know that we are thinking about him. Every month, we will collect letters to mail out to him and some other soldiers in his battalion. We will be sending letters throughout the year, and the letters can be dropped off in either Ms. Moniz’s or Ms. Browning’s room. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at or
