Volunteer Opportunity – An ORRHS volunteer group is being organized to visit the Happy Hope Factory in Pocasset on January 20th (Martin Luther King Day). All are welcome. If interested, please sign up using the following Google link: http://bit.ly/1-20HAPPYHOPE
If you are interested in learning more about the Ireland/Scotland trip for April 2021, please attend an info session during Bulldog Block on Friday, January 10. There will be an informational meeting for students and their parents/guardians on Tuesday, January 14, at 6:30 pm in the high school library.
On Thursday, January 16, during homeroom, students who took the 2019 PSAT will receive their score report. An assembly will then be held in the auditorium during bulldog block and counselors will present a brief overview of the information contained in the report.
Attention Sophomores - During the week of January 21st the counselors will be meeting with US History I classes in the Math Computer Lab for approximately 45 minutes to have students complete a Personality Inventory and a Career Interest Inventory. Your history teachers will inform you of the exact dates of these meetings. Please bring a writing utensil!
· Please submit your yellow sheets to your guidance counselor 10 school days before your deadline.
· Please bring copies of your college acceptance letters to guidance.
Applications are now available in guidance for the Project Contemporary Competitiveness Advanced Studies Program (PCC). PCC is a 4 to 6 week intellectually enriching and socially stimulating residential program at the campus of Stonehill College. To learn more about this amazing summer opportunity please go to their website at www.pccasp.org. The deadline to submit completed applications to guidance is no later than January 27th.
Interested in a summer job lifeguarding? Alison Calise from the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation will be here during lunches on January 22 with information on training opportunities or the application process for already certified lifeguards. $15/per hour; 40 hours a week; you must be at least 16 years old by 6/21 and must be able to swim 500 yards in under 11 minutes. DCR will provide free CPR Certification Classes to qualified candidates who commit to lifeguarding at DCR locations this summer.
