DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
The safety of your children must remain our first priority at dismissal. Students are strongly encouraged to ride the bus. However, we understand the time constraints with our school hours and extracurricular activities that begin shortly after school.
Changes in transportation should be sent in a note with your student; however if you must make a change later in the day please call before 2:30.
For early dismissals, we will call for your student when you arrive.
The school day ends at 3:40, although we dismiss our car-riders about 3:35. If your schedule is tight, we suggest that you arrive at school by 3:20 to wait in the car-rider line. Our car-rider line moves quickly so if you are not so pressed for time arriving about 3:30 is sufficient.
GES school policy states that car-riders must be picked up in the car-rider line at dismissal. Parents are explicitly asked not to park in the parking lot to cross traffic to pick up their students at the door. Parents who are waiting to walk their students home will be directed to walk East down the sidewalk in front of the kindergarten classrooms and along the inside of the safety gate to cross to the sidewalk on 104th street.
Please help us keep your children safe.
