Learn the secrets and techniques of painting with watercolor in a fun, no-pressure environment. Nationally acclaimed watercolor artist, Cindy Welch, will teach you how to unleash beautiful colors and maintain realism by mastering values. Learn her process for creating with watercolor while painting a landscape of our beloved Castle Rock. Join us for this 2 day workshop packed with over 12 hours of hands on instruction and fun, creative socializing. Drawing and photo reference will be provided. All skill levels are welcome!

Cindy Welch is a nationally known, award winning watercolor artist. She has been featured in many national exhibitions including the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibiton and the Pikes Peak International Watermedia Exhibition. She is a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society, Pikes Peak Watercolor Society and Rocky Mountain National Watermedia. Her work has been published in the book Splash which features the best of watercolor from around the world. She was also featured in Southwestern Art magazine. She has taught at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design and the Sheppard Art Institute. She is best known locally for her paintings of historic buildings and landmarks in Castle Rock, CO. Many businesses and organizations own her paintings including The Douglas County Veteran’s Foundation, Castle Rock Adventist

Hospital, The Castle Rock Museum, and Cherokee Castle to name a few. You can see her work

all over town and purchase limited edition prints at The Emporium where she is a regular, featured artist.
