April 2021
Spring is here! The warm sunshine is certainly appreciated and needed! I hope you and your family enjoyed the spring break. Taking the time and sifting it to activities out sie of the daily routine was also welcome. I am excited to start preparing for the end of this year! :)
The current state of restrictions will have our year end look different...again. However, we will be working to make a fun end and continue to build our sense of community in methods that work within our guidelines. Third-grade families, please be on the lookout for an informational letter that will address our traditional Clap-Out, HBS orientations, and other activities.
I would like to thank Mrs. Baglino for organizing and creating our school yearbook. Her efforts are completely voluntary and done for the enjoyment of our school community. This year offered many challenges in creating a cohesive and comprehensive book. I truly appreciate her dedication to this traditional publication and our students.
I continue to be proud of our tigers and their amazing teachers. I am thankful for our school and home partnerships. Our students are making the most of their school experience. There is not much longer in this school year. Let's keep up the effort and see this year through with incredible success!
Yours in Tiger Spirit,
Mrs. Higgins

Readington Strategic Plan
The school continues to work toward meeting the district’s strategic plan. The plan states:
Inquisitive Learning
Create and establish an inquiry-based framework that values an interest-driven learning environment. Learners will, individually and collaboratively, focus on identifying, analyzing, and solving problems as inquisitive members of their community.
Social Awareness
Our learners will feel connected, valued, and secure in a learning environment cultivated by a shared sense of community. Every individual will develop skills that promote an awareness of self and others, including the ability to understand the impact of their decisions.
Partnerships
Establish partnerships that foster meaningful educational opportunities on local, regional, and global scales. Prepare all learners to become engaged and productive citizens through service to others, collaboration, and real-world connections.
Our third grade has completed their inquisitive learning projects. Their work was terrific and quite meaningful as they identified the topics of their choice and drove the direction of their work. How wonderful to see our young learners take charge of their learning and grow their interests.
