Writing- We will complete a first grade memory book.

Math- We are enjoying learning how to add two digit numbers.

Science- We discussing summer safety.

  • Parent Advisory Committee Meeting Reminder: All families are invited to participate in Lyon's End of Year this Tuesday from 2:00-3:15 pm. This is an easy way to stay involved in your child's school, find out about upcoming initiatives for the 2019-2020 school year and provide feedback on Lyon's current goals. NO CHARGE MAY: Charging is not allowed the last month of school, please ensure your child has enough money in their meal account to cover breakfast, lunch, and/or extra milk. A complimentary PB&J and milk is available for students not on free meals who forget their lunch money or packed lunch.

For your convenience, online deposits may also be made to your student's account using PayPal. Go to the district web page at Click on Departments, click on Food Service, then click on the PayPal link and follow the directions.

Elementary Student Meal Prices

full-price student lunch: $2.40 each

reduced student lunch: $ .40

full-price student breakfast: $1.15 each

reduced student breakfast: no charge (one each day)

extra milk: $ .45

Checks may be made out to Republic Schools. Payments may be sent to the school in an envelope with the student's name, school name, and the amount being paid. If paying for more than one student on the same check, please indicate how much to deposit into each student account.

Classroom Information

Please keep the gray books, sent home with your child, for an entire week. Re-read them as needed to fill up your "Pizza, Book It" paper. Every Monday, I will change out the books for new ones. Feel free to read books from home or from the library.
