Student Parking
ARE YOU TEACHING YOUR CHILD TO DRIVE?
We support our students who are learning to drive, and support you teaching them! If your have a child with a restricted license and they are practicing their driving skills to and from school with you in the car, please DO NOT ENTER OUR CAR LINE! Please park in the very back of our Student Parking lot in the spaces nearest the Basketball Courts. This allows us to have no hold up in our car line, and it allows for an easy and safe transition for you and your child.
To apply for a Student Driver Pass, CLICK HERE to access the Student Driver page. Look for the blue Student Driver application at the bottom of the page.
Student Drop-Off/Pick Up
A note about car line timing: In order for your child to arrive at school on time, and prior to the tardy bell at 7:10am, you must enter the car line prior to 6:55am. If you enter the car line, which means turn onto "The Coyote Way" after 6:55am, your child will be tardy from school. Please understand, this is not an excused tardy, and consequences will be administered.
Additionally, if all of the expectations below are followed, you can get in and out of the car loop in the morning in about 3-5 minutes depending on your arrival time. The afternoon car line moves very quickly and we consistently get through the entire car line in about 11 minutes.
Expectations for Parents/Guardians:
Parents, as a reminder, please use caution when driving in our traffic circle. The drop-off and pick-up area for students is in front of the front office by the yellow pillars. When using the traffic circle, please only turn from the outer lane. The car loop exit is the 2nd turn upon entering the traffic circle. Please pull all the way forward as close as you can to the bumper of the car in front of you. Once you are pulled all the way forward, your child can then enter/exit the vehicle. Electronic devices used by drivers in the drop-off lane is not permitted for student safety. We thank you in advance for your cooperation. Please see the documents below for further instructions.
Expectations for Students:
Students are not permitted to enter the CCHS campus until 6:45am each morning. At the end of the day, students are only permitted to enter the car loop via the black gates between the Media Center and the Cafeteria. Students are not permitted to enter the car loop from the black gates by Student Parking (this may result in a referral). Students are not permitted to enter or exit a vehicle until you have pulled all the way forward as close to the bumper of the car in front of you as possible.
Bus Transportation
Please review this bus map graphic with your child as it is the map of where their bus will be parked in the afternoon at the end of the school day. Have them take a picture of it with their phone. They need to note the row number only - buses will be in their assigned row, but not necessarily in the exact order.
Bus Compound Contact Info: Bus routes each have an alphanumeric identifier. The beginning letter identifies the servicing bus compound you should call if needed.
