WEEKLY UPDATE!
Goodbye Break! Hello Week 7!
Break week has come to an end and much lamenting can be heard at my house. I am so thankful for our break and the refreshment it provided our family. We are ready to reclaim our school routine with renewed hearts and minds! I pray that you have come away from a quieter week refreshed and are ready to jump back into another six weeks (only 6 weeks!) of learning before our semester end.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Weekly Announcements & Facebook
I am requesting that those making announcements on Tuesday morning post their own announcement(s) on the Facebook page. An announcement post will be created each week in which you will post your announcement in the comment box below. Email me with any announcements you would like included in our weekly email by Tuesday evening.
FINE ARTS & SCIENCE EXPERIEMTNS - Weeks 7-12
Over the next 6 weeks our fine arts component of the morning will be focusing on the tin whistle and music theory. Information on what will be covered can be found in your Foundations Guide (pages: 155-182). A tin whistle for each child is required for this portion of fine arts. Cherie Heise will have tin whistles available to purchase this Tuesday.
Our science component of the morning will be focusing on science experiments. The tutors will be using the scientific method as they work through experiments. I encourage you to learn alongside your children and grow in your for love science together.

GYM TIME CHANGES
Our gym time is continuing to evolve and requires changes with the lower temps preventing us from enjoying time outdoors. I am currently working with some gym options and will inform you of these changes once they are made.
MAP TRACING GOAL & REWARD
We are so close to our goal! Keep up the map tracing and drawing at home.
Point system:
traced - 1 point
traced and labeled - 2 points
free handed - 5 points!
Map drawing is a great way to reinforce the geography locations the kids are learning weekly as well as prepare them for Challenge A.

CC Merchandise Sale
For those who ordered CC merchandise; Cheri Heise will be bringing your order to CC this Tuesday. It is not too late to place another community order or feel free to place your own order. Merchandise is selling out fast so the sooner we place another order the better our selection. We will receive free shipping if our order totals $100. You can view the items for sale through the link provided below.
YEARBOOK PHOTOS
In order to capture all aspects of our CC year with photos we need to begin now! Consider bringing your camera to CC on occasion and using it to capture your child's class in action. Earle Kelley will be providing us with a Dropbox link where we can store our photos. The photos will be used for our yearbook (yearbook coordinator/designers needed) and End of Year Celebration.
BOX TOPS
Earle Kelley will be gathering box tops this year to add to the ones gathered last year (they did not expire). If you purchase items with box tops, please consider taking the time to cut them out and add them to our collection.
WEEKLY LESSON PLAN
Each week, you'll have a link here to the motions, songs or other helps that the tutors used in class!
