Adopt-A-Family

Boston Scientific Corporation traditionally reaches out to help the families in need at Valentine Hills during the holiday season. If you are a family that could use help, please fill out the application form and return it in an envelope to Lori Carlson by November 14, 2018. Questions? Email lori.carlson@moundsviewschools.org.

Applications will be given to Boston Scientific and each family will be adopted by a department at Boston Scientific. Your family name will be considered confidential and will not be included with the information going to Boston Scientific. Your family will be called during the week of Dec. 17 for pick up at Valentine Hills. Please no IPads, tablets, cell phones or expensive electronics.

Non-Food Allergies at School

The most common non-food allergic reactions are related to latex and insect stings. Due to these allergies, we ask that you do not bring any latex, specifically latex balloons to school. For someone with severe allergies, the only way to avoid a reaction is to strictly avoid exposure to their trigger or triggers. Prevention practices in our schools are put in place both on a general and an individual level.

Want to Be Part of the Largest Game of Freeze Tag?

Playworks has been working with a committee of Mounds View parents to put together a district-wide event, celebrating the whole community's dedication to safe and healthy play for all students. The event is called "We Play Together" and will take place on Sat, Oct 27 at the Mounds View High School Stadium. During the event we are hoping to put together the world's largest game of freeze tag.
