January Service Project
The dogs are trained service animals that interact with people in many situations, whether a disaster response, a crisis, in hospitals or care facilities, and during times of loss, loneliness or worry. Their presence provides a bridge for compassionate ministry to take place. Currently, Comfort Dogs are visiting in shelters set up for families that lost their homes in severely flooded areas of Missouri and southern Illinois.
The comfort dogs visited our school a couple of years ago after spending time with students and families in Newton, New Jersey and Sandy Hook School. These dogs and their trainers are a wonderful blessing to so many people, and we are glad to be supporting them!
If you would like to support the Comfort Dog Ministry, we will collect donations at the door this Friday, January 8. Students have the choice of wearing a shirt/top with a picture of a dog or pet or their school theme shirt and jeans on Friday.
Thank you for participating in this service project!
