Random Tips
Many youth events have fellowship components and youth ministry leaders are often looking for creative, easy games and challenges. This is a great list of "Minute to Win It" games. Most require minimal supplies and/or preparation and teens would find very fun.
Service:
In the winter months, there are many ways to keep youth involved in service. Youth may be interested in planning to do something for the national Souper Bowl of Caring initiative, where youth collect donations for food pantries, etc, leading up to the Super Bowl. Winter is also an especially good time to think of the home-bound. Youth can pray for the home-bound and make them cards.
Knowledge:
This is a meditation for the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary for Advent (but it could easily be used during the Christmas season, or any other time). The "reflections on each of the Joyful Mysteries include a story of refugees today in the Middle East, where the Holy Family was from." This is a beautiful prayer, and could also be used in a youth event focused on the Diocese of Ogdensburg twinning with the Syrian diocese, Latakia, and the recent visit of Bishop Chbeir.
