Wisdom from the Queen Bee, Mrs. Hall

Thank you so much to all the parents and community members who helped with our Read-a-thon. You raised a total of $5484 for our school. We are so thankful for the support of our local community and we hope all of those minutes reading add up to some treasured memories together. We are excited to see you at our upcoming parent teacher conferences.

Counselor's Corner with Mrs. Tucker

It's getting colder outside - and our lost and found is getting more full inside. here's a (hopefully) helpful tip:

  • Put your child's name on their coat, sweatshirts, lunchbox and other items that may be sat down or taken off.
  • Please let your child's teacher know if your child is missing an item so that we can help them check lost and found for it.

We are continuing to work hard to help our kids settle in to the school year. Please continue to help our students get to bed in time to get enough sleep to recharge for the next day.

A note from our receptionist...

Please remember to call in and let us know if your child is going to not be at school due to illness or other reason. Please give us a phone call in the morning before 8:45

Notice of Screening

Notification of Administration: Universal Dyslexia Screeners

Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words. Dyslexia affects 20% of the population and can only be diagnosed by a doctor.

Indiana Code 20-25.5 requires all Indiana schools to administer universal screeners for learning characteristics related to dyslexia within the first 90 days of school.

All students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will be given the screener. All parents of students will be notified of screener results. If a student is determined to be “at risk” for learning characteristics related to dyslexia, parents will be asked for permission to administer Level 1 diagnostic assessments.
