WHEN INVASIVES ATTACK
and how to control them
Why are invasive species considered harmful to our environment?
Invasive species are species that live in an ecosystem they are not originally native to and pose a threat to the ecosystem they are living in.
- Invasive species, like animals, can out compete with a native species for food which can spread diseases when trying to fight for their prey.
- They throw off the natural order of a food chain, especially if the invasive has no predators.
- Invasive plants will over throw and kill native plants which means when the plant dies, whatever feeds on it will also die out.
There are plenty more things wrong with invasive species. Hopefully you get the idea of why they are bad for our environment.
