Less and More

More
- student-student interaction
- reading of real texts
- choices for students
- heterogeneous classrooms where individual needs are met through individualized activities, not segregation of bodies

Technology Updates
The video below was shared with me and is put together by one of my heroes in education, Jennifer Gonzalez. She runs a blog, www.cultofpedagogy.com, which is amazing and produces a lot of great content (YouTube, Twitter, etc). I would strongly encourage you following her in some form or fashion!
The video is really a pitch for one of her more awesome products and something that I would consider purchasing for us as we get closer to 1:1. Speaking of 1:1, here's the proposed timeline:
18/19 SY teachers get devices
19/20 SY students get devices
You will probably notice that the technology at our disposal continues to expand and I hope that trend continues. It is an ever-changing landscape and will require that we continually change as well. That is why people like Jennifer Gonzalez are so helpful. They do the hard work of curating great tools for us!
