Life Cycle
Female seahorses place eggs in a male's pouch. Male seahorses carry the eggs until they hatch. Young seahorse leave the pouch to find food. Seahorses can live up to 1 to 5 years.

Seahorses use their dorsal fin to help them swim. They use their pectoral fin to steer. They use their gripping tail to hang still on things.

Seahorses live in warm ocean water.

Seahorses are carmivores. They eat plankton, shrimp,and small sea creatures.
