If you have an iPad, Kindle, tablet, etc. that you allow your kids to use, they may be missing out on some really cools apps that K12 offers. You should visit the full list at

There is an app for each grade level in K-2 that has all of the K12 Classic Reader Stories. They include the pictures and the story can be read aloud.

Block Unwanted Ads with Adblock

What is Adblock?

Adblock is a browser add-on that stops advertisements from displaying on the student’s computer. This includes banners, pop-ups and video ads on all websites including Facebook and YouTube.

The Adblock icon, located on all three browsers, displays the number blocked ads:

  • Chrome - icon is located at the top right-corner of the browser window
  • Firefox - icon is located at the top right-corner of the browser window
  • Internet Explorer - icon is located at the bottom of the browser window

Adblock does not interfere with the K12 OLS or other software installed on the student computer. Please keep this feature turned on in order to protect the student from viewing unwanted advertisements when visiting non-K12 sites. Also note, the K12 Online School does not display advertisements.

There are new work sample requirements for grades 3-5. I will be going over these with each family individually, but I want you to be able to look over them here as well.

These assignments MUST be turned into me to be graded.

3 Math Assignments and 3 Reading/Writing Assignments

You will scan and save them as pdf, or take a picture and save as a jpeg. Then you will send them to me with the new File Sharing Option in the OLS.
