February 20th will be an eLearning Day for 9th, 10th, and 12th graders. 9th, 10th & 12th graders will get their assignments through Canvas and are not required to come to school.
The ACT with Writing will be administered to all JUNIORS on Wednesday, February 20th. Registration for this state mandated assessment and other pre-test activities will be on Wednesday, February 13th. It is very important that all juniors are present BOTH of these days, February 13th AND February 20th. If a student does not pre-register they cannot take the ACT with Writing on February 20th. Juniors should bring a valid photo ID on both days. Students should bring an approved calculator. The list of approved calculators and other important information can be found at www.actstudent.org. We would also like to remind you that there are absolutely no backpacks or electronic devices (with the exception of an approved calculator) allowed in the testing room. If a student brings a backpack or an electronic device it will be collected and stored in an area outside the testing room. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the school.

Sign Up to Round Up!
The Round Up Program was started by The Schools Foundation and Huntsville Utilities to support local public school systems. The Schools Foundation is a funding partner of Madison County Schools. The more residential and commercial locations that round up, the more funding we can receive. Estimates show that if just half of the residential Huntsville Utilities users rounded up, it would generate approximately $500,000 to support our schools! By rounding up your utility bill to the nearest dollar each month, you help invest in the future of our students!
You can easily sign up to round up online:
http://www.hsvutil.org/myhsvu…/checkbill/roundup/signup.html
It might be a penny, it might be 25 cents, it might be 99 cents, but it will be no more than $11.88 a year. It takes less than 1 minute to fill out.
Thank you for supporting one of our community partners! Go Bucks!

Don't want to take your final exam? Don't miss school! Students are now given the opportunity to exempt their final exam in each of their classes. However, their grades AND their attendance will be the deciding factor. Students should think ahead and plan for the end of the semester - don't miss days you don't have to.
- A student who earns exemption status has the option to take the comprehensive final examination to raise the final grade average for the course.
- The comprehensive final examination grade will count 20% of the student's final grade.
- Absences due to approved school activities will not count against course attendance.

If a student violates the dress code, he/she will be asked to change into appropriate clothing, which may require the student to return home.
